TEHRAN -- Hamid Sourian has been named as the “champion of champions” in the last Iranian year.

Three-time Greco-Roman wrestling world champion has won the award following his big achievement in the past year.
The event was attended by Seyyed Ezatollah Zarghami, IRIB president, Mohammad Aliabadi, head of the Physical Education Organization (PEO), and Reza Gharakhanlou, the president of the Iran’s National Olympic Committee at the IRIB Organization on Friday.
Ehsan Hadadi(discus throwing), Behzad Khodadad and Sara Khosh-Jamal Fekri(taekwondo), Mehdi Sohrabi(cycling), Samad Nikkhah Bahrami(basketball), Mojtaba Ghiasi(volleyball), Saeid Ebrahimi(freestyle wrestling), Ali Mazaheri(boxing), Ahmad Daghaghele-Pour(wheelchair basketball) have also been named as the superior sportsmen(women) in the event
